Lavender Varieties

We farm two main varieties of Lavender, namely, Lavandula Angustifolia and Lavandula x Intermedia.

Lavandula Angustifolia

These varieties are best used for aromatherapy or culinary uses.

These varieties produce essential oil known as Lavender Oil.

Lavender Oil is known to be relaxing and calming.

Lavandula x Intermedia

These varieties produce essential oil known as Lavandin Oil.

Lavandin Oil is widely used in soaps, craft products, and pot pourri.

Lavandin Oil is also known to be more stimulating, rather than relaxing.

Opening Hours

Emu Bay Lavender Farm is open Wednesday to Sunday between September and May.

We also open SEVEN days during SA school holidays from September to May.

Closed Christmas Day and Good Friday.
